Aspen/MyEducationBC Parent Notification of Absence

Overview

This document explains how to manually export the day's student absences from Aspen/MyEducationBC, and send notifications via your Sunnycrest High App Dashboard.

When you're ready to set up automatic file transfers to automate this, contact Support.

If the email address matches Sunnycrest High app account, the parent will receive the notification via app push notification, or by SMS text or email if they chose one of those options. Otherwise, the parent will receive an automated voice call, SMS text, or email depending on the Appazur configuration for your school district.

Aspen/MyEducationBC Export

Generate the Aspen/MyEducationBC exports:

Step 1

If you are using MyEducationBC, use the predefined "Synrevoice" parent export, which produces a CSV file containing pupil number and the corresponding parent email.

Step 2

In this step, you export the day's student absences to a TXT file. If you are using MyEducationBC, use the predefined "BC AutoDialer - Synrevoice" export as shown below.
