Messages can be unique for each recipient. For example:
The attendance office is calling to inform you that your student John Smith was marked absent during periods 1, 2, 3, and 4. Please contact the attendance office at, 555-555-4444, to clear the absence. Or, send a signed note upon returning to school. If you have already contacted the school office you can disregard this message.
Absence notifications can be sent as an automated voice call (or email) to parents who do not have the school app. The Caller ID can be set to the school's phone number so that parents can easily reply or return a missed call.
Parents can opt in to an app push notification, or SMS text message. This may allow them to be more effectively notified during the work day and to potentially take action sooner to ensure their child's attendance.

Do you need to send report cards or student schedules as email attachments to all your parents?
Some systems such as PowerSchool* print reports cards to a large PDF file. You can upload this composite PDF file to the Appazur Dashboard and extract each student's report card. As with Student Absence, there will be a custom message template for the text of the notification. We'll extract the student number from the PDF, match that up with parent contacts, and send the report card (one or more pages) to the appropriate recipients by email (and optionally, app push notification and SMS text). A "dry run" step will allow you to confirm the number of report cards etc before sending. The report card can optionally be password-protected, using either the student number or birthdate as the password.
